Test Drive

Yesterday Sean, Max and I took the new car we want to get for a test drive.

It was perfect and I think we will end up getting the car, but it still ended in tears...

ICU

My gorgeous little niece Ava is in the ICU at the moment. It's not the first time she's been there, but it certainly doesn't make it any easier.

Ava is having problems with her lungs and without the help of a CPAP machine she does not get enough oxygen as she breathes.

The ICU isn't a fun place for a five year old girl. Or for her Mummy. Or for her 7 month old sister. But that's where they are. They've been there for 4 days now and no-one knows how long it will be before she gets to come home. The 2nd of June is Ava's 6th birthday and more than anything she wants to be home before then. This is going to be the first year she has been at school on the actual day of her birthday and she's so excited about getting her special birthday award.

If you pray please keep Ava in your prayers, if not please send lots of love and positive thoughts her way.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums and Mums-to-be out there.

My day has been lovely so far. Pancakes for breakfast, cuddles and playtime with Max. A trip to the park planned for after nap-time. And skyping with my Mum and Sean's Mum a little later on.

I hope you each have a perfect day too.

Wardrobe Inspiration

For months now I have been meaning to put together mood/inspiration boards for each room in my house. I figure if I plan things out, I'll be more likely to buy things I will love for a long time.

This morning I finally got around to doing a board up for my walk in wardrobe (got to start somewhere!). My plan is to make it a hidden girly room. Pinks, white, cream, some french inspiration and lots of room for shoes.



Now, can anyone tell me where I find the wardrobe makeover money?

I have a new obsession (yes, truly I am obsessed). It's pinterest.


If you haven't been and checked it out yet I highly recommend that you drop what ever you are doing and go straight there (right now!).

Basically it's an online pinboard where you can save all of your favourite images and ideas. You can repin things that other people like, or pin images straight from websites. The best part, links are saved with the images so you never have to worry about forgetting where you got the imaged from. I love it!!

Laundry

I Heart Fridays

Fridays are absolutely my favourite day of the week. The reason? Fridays are swimming lesson day!

Max gets so much joy out of his weekly half hour lesson. He splashes, kicks his little legs, jumps in off the side of the pool, swims under the water and blows bubbles. So cute. It's so amazing to see how confident he has become compared to his first lesson 6 weeks ago. And just secretly... I enjoy going to the lessons just as much as he does!


In other news it's Poop Week here at my house.

Yesterday I accidentally trapped Cooper in Max's room and he pooped (horrible, nasty, diarrhea poop) all over Max's carpet. I have no idea why. He was trapped in there for about 5 minutes. Maybe he freaked out, or maybe he has a sore tummy. Like I said, I have no idea.

I arranged for a carpet cleaner to come out today and just as well I did. This morning I went in to get Max up, and he had taken off his nappy at some point during the night and done a massive poo (diarrhea as well, WTF!) all over his bed. It seemed fresh (tmi?) so hopefully he hadn't been rolling around in it all night... Anyway the carpet cleaner is here right now so hopefully he'll get the smell out along with the poo stains.
