Three Wonderful Years

Today Sean and I are celebrating our third wedding anniversary. Three years, all at once it has gone so fast, yet also feels like forever (in a good way!).

This last year has probably been the toughest for us so far with, job changes for Sean, health issues for me, fertility dramas, as well as feeling the mortgage pinch that goes along with these types of things. It has definitely proven to us that we made the perfect choice in marrying each other. Everything that has been thrown at us has just shown us how much we truly love each other.

This last year has been filled with plenty of positives as well. We have had the wonderful blessing of seeing our family dynamic evolve as Max grows up. Watching Sean be an amazing Dad to Max, has shown me another side of the man I love. Sean is everything I thought he would be as a Father and so much more.

We have also had lots of time with our respective families, something I am truly grateful for. My family love Sean as if he were their own, and Sean's family show me so much love and support too. We couldn't ask for a better extended family!

We celebrated our anniversary on Sunday night, as we knew today (Tuesday) was going to be a busy day for both of us. The three of us went out to a local restaurant for dinner and a had gorgeous family dinner. Most of the night revolved around Max, which sums up year three of our marriage perfectly!

I love you Sean, you are the man of my dreams and I am forever grateful that you choose me to be your wife.

Point + Shoot: Mr xbox

Sean's parents weren't able to make it to our place this weekend, but we still got a fair bit of tiling done (we're almost done!!).
On his breaks from tiling Sean attempted to play some xbox. Only one thing stood in his way... Max's absolute determination that the controller and headphones belonged to him! The second Sean would sit down on the couch Max would be right there with him. If Sean tried to take the controller from him Max would give him a definite 'mine' and the cutest pouty face you have ever seen!

I'm playing point and shoot over at Sunny + Scout. Head on over to see Lou's adorable cake table set up from this weekend.

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend!

Dining Room

You might have noticed that I haven't yet posted photos of our finished tiling... That's because we might have run out of tiles. Oops!

We've ordered the extra couple of boxes that we need and Sean's parents are coming down on the weekend to help us get things finished off. In the meantime we have furniture in strange places and piles of tiling things in the corners. But hey, it's still an improvement on concrete floors!

The tiling in our dining room is completely done, along with the grouting and silicone (caulking).

Obviously we need to hang art on the walls and get some bigger furniture, but it's still a big improvement.

In honour of having the room tiled I made another piece of DIY art. This one was inspired by Sherry (again!) and is just done with paint-chips and a frame I already had at home. I love the colours and I like how it brightens up the space.

Hopefully by Monday morning I will have some photos of the rest of the tiling :)

Saturday with Max

On Saturday Sean and I decided we would take Max out for lunch. Going out for lunch is something we used to do quite a lot off (back in the days prior to marriage, mortgage and Max), but not something we really do anymore.

We went to a small little Italian place on the esplanade in Redcliffe. Max was on his sweetest behaviour and we all had a really great time. Max's favourite part was definitely his babycino!

On the way home we stopped and grabbed some icecream as well.

All in all, a beautiful way to spend our Saturday.

What did you get up to on the weekend?

Label Love

I am an absolute stationary junkie. I love it! There is nothing nicer than getting a handwritten note in the mail, written on beautiful stationary and presented in a gorgeous envelope.

So you can imagine my excitement when I won a giveaway over at Always in My Heart and scored myself the sweetest set of handmade address labels.

The arrived in the mail yesterday and straight away I knew opening up the package would be just as fun as the labels themselves.

Even the bubble wrapping looked sweet!

I absolutely love the little Eiffel Tower charm that was tied onto the twine...

and the labels themselves?  Absolutely perfect! I couldn't be happier with them :)

If you love gorgeous address labels as much as I do please check out Jackie's etsy shop. It won't disappoint!

The Long Overdue Tile Update

.....and it's a vlog! Woot, my first one.

I hope you enjoyed my first video post :)

Celebrating Spring

Cooper saw in the first day of Spring by getting himself a puppy-cut. As you can see it was well overdue!

It was the first time Max had come along to drop Cooper off at the groomers. As the girl picked up Coop and took him out to the back of the shop I noticed Max's chin start to wobble. He was calling 'bye-bye pah' with a shaky voice as we walked out the door and as we got to the footpath he was sobbing and still crying out 'bye-bye pah'. So Sad :(

I explained to him that we would be picking Cooper back after his nap. I don't think he really understood though. He was so happy to see Cooper when we went back and picked him up!
