We've ordered the extra couple of boxes that we need and Sean's parents are coming down on the weekend to help us get things finished off. In the meantime we have furniture in strange places and piles of tiling things in the corners. But hey, it's still an improvement on concrete floors!
The tiling in our dining room is completely done, along with the grouting and silicone (caulking).
Obviously we need to hang art on the walls and get some bigger furniture, but it's still a big improvement.
In honour of having the room tiled I made another piece of DIY art. This one was inspired by Sherry (again!) and is just done with paint-chips and a frame I already had at home. I love the colours and I like how it brightens up the space.
Hopefully by Monday morning I will have some photos of the rest of the tiling :)
Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteOooh - is it wrong that looking at those stunning, new, sparkling tiles makes me smile??
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's cause my dirty cream, old, chipped tiles make me cringe?!
Beautiful.
:-)
Looking good! Love the paint-chip art, I did something similar in Elliott's nursery: http://bubbymakesthree.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-gender-neutral-nursery-reveal.html but did it with haphazard placement rather than the squares. I might do that one using various pinks for Fern's room next, me thinky!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the tile looks -- absolutely clean and pretty :)

I totally need something to entertain the kiddies on this wet school holiday! I think a trip to bunnings and the op shop (for a frame) might just be an awesome activity! Thank you! When I update my (neglected) blog, I'll link back to you! x
